The greatest benefit of social media lies in the proliferation of online newspapers and blogs which have introduced substantial and radical changes in news reporting and mass communication. In Nigeria today, there exists many online news platforms which serve as massive hubs for the spreading of information among internet users, especially young people (aged 18-40) who account for about 80-90% of the traffic on these social networking platforms and this age range represents the most effervescent amid dynamic segment of the society.
Part of our social media engagement is to place user generated content on leading online newspapers and blogs. We run a blog – BREAKINGTIMES and an online TV platform – BTTV. We also work very closely with notable online newspapers and blogs for content and story placement.
